Full Set Solid 18ct Gold Omega Constellation 'C' Deluxe c1971 Boxes and Papers
Outstanding Omega solid 18ct gold gents wristwatch.
This is a very fine example of a gents classic wristwatch made by the world renowned premier swiss maker Omega.
The watch is the rare and highly desirable Constellation 'C' Deluxe Chronometer fully automatic.
The movement is Omegas top of the range calibre 751 daydate 24 jewel movement as you can see it is in fabulous condition.
The case was made for Omega by the British company Shackmans who made solid 18ct gold cases for the British market. The British made cases tend to be around 25% heavier than the standard Swiss made Omega watch cases.
It has just been fully serviced and is running to within original Omega specification
The original diamond bright cut day date dial is also of solid 18ct gold with the OM designation which means it will never deteriorate or tarnish and is in perfect as new condition.
The case body graining is near perfect with super sharp edges indicating that this watch has spent most of its life tucked away in a drawer.
The day and date wheels are exactly the same colour and tone indicating that neither one has ever been replaced.
The winding crown serrations are super sharp like new with no rub through on the edges.
The back is perfect with a mega sharp observatory medallion.
It has black hands and baton markers and also the Omega symbol on the original crown and its original Omega buckle.
As you would expect the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case.
The heavy solid 18ct gold case is fully hallmarked.
The case measures 35mm in diameter excluding the winding crown.
Omega are one of the most exclusive watchmakers in the world and this watch certainly has that understated elegance that whispers class.
Overall this is the very best example we have seen in 25 years and comes with its original inner and outer boxes and full paperwork. A full set item highly sought after by Omega collectors it looks as if it was rarely worn.
