Museum Quality Unworn Solid 9ct Gold Omega 285 Boxes Papers Buckle Strap 1960-61
This is a remarkable Museum quality unrestored and unworn example of the Legendary manual winding Omega 285 from 1960-61
The only work we have carried out is to service the movement and give the case a light polish with a soft cloth.
The solid 9ct gold case is 34mm in diameter excluding the original crown, a full size gents.
The case edges are sharp and crisp the watch looks like it was kept hidden away in a drawer and never worn.
The movement is the legendary Omega calibre 285, Omegas greatest manual winding movement. It has been freshly serviced and is currently running at plus 5 seconds per day , not bad for a 65 year old watch.
The dial is totally original and perfect it has had no restoration whatsoever.
The hands are matching gold
The hallmarks and movement serial number indicate that this watch was made in 1960 and sold a little later in 1961
Its the most original and perfect unrestored and complete example you will ever see.
It comes with its original solid 9ct gold Omega buckle with matching hallmarks from the same year.
Its original Omega black leather strap in perfect condition showing no signs of wear with original spring bars
The original inner and outer boxes in perfect condition.
Numerous original documents, brochures, warranties and original sales invoices
This is the best and most complete example of any Omega we have ever seen, the kind of thing you normally can only find in the Omega Museum.
If you would like to see more photos of this watch and its documentation please email us.
