Rare Museum Quality Solid 9ct Gold Aristo Art Deco Chronometer From 1937
This is a remarkable Museum quality unrestored example the rare Aristo Art Deco Chronometer from 1937 retailed by Garrard The Crown Jewellers
The only work we have carried out is to service the movement and give the case a light polish.
The curved back solid 9ct gold case is 22mm by 38mm excluding the original crown, a full size gents.
The movement is a 19 jewel FHF calibre 29 chronometer adjusted to 5 positions which is very rare and very high quality this was one of the highest grade movements of this period. The movement plates have fully bevelled edges with decorated faces all of the legends have been gilt finished. It has been freshly serviced and is currently running at plus 5 seconds per day , not bad for a 90 year old watch.
The Art Deco dial is totally original with just a few marks to show its age.
The hands are a beautiful peacock blue.
Its the most original example you will ever see and comes with its original Garrard retail box.
