Rare Omega Constellation Chronometer Bumper Automatic With Box c1954
This is a superb example the rare MK 1 Omega Constellation Bumper automatic model 2782 dating from 1954.
Professionally serviced with a 12 month warranty.
The diameter is 35mm excluding the original crown.
The movement is the calibre 354 Chronometer grade Bumper automatic, this was Omegas highest grade movement of this period.
An Omega "bumper" is a vintage Omega that has a "bumper" automatic movement rather than a full rotation rotor automatic. The oscillating weight makes a partial rotation before "bumping" into a cushioning spring. This is the earliest type of automatic movement.
The two tone dial is perfect having been professionally restored, the case has been ultrasonically cleaned and lightly polished.
As you would expect the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case. Overall this watch is in superb condition. It has clearly been seldom worn and an absolute must for Omega collectors.
It has the rose gold Constellation logo on the back of the case which is bright and crisp, all of the eight stars are clearly visible.
We have fitted a soft chocolate buffalo grain strap but we can fit almost any colour or style you prefer.
